Opel Zafira

The German manufacturer, however, already owned by the French concern, is returning to the domestic market. Its model range includes Opel Zafira with the prefix Life. To the car of the same name, produced back in the days of General Motors, the novelty has nothing to do. In fact, this is a redesigned version of the French minivan, sold under the names Peugeot Traveller, Citroen SpaceTourer and even Toyota Proace. Strictly speaking, the Vauxhall brand division uses the name Vivaro. All the differences lie in the nameplates, logos and design of the front part. The German has a slightly enlarged radiator grille with a thin horizontal chrome trim. Headlamps have a simpler shape, without a bumper crawling on them. A more significant difference lies in the list of equipment. So, the initial configuration of Innovation is more expensive than that of the French counterpart, but it has a richer technical filling. The list of equipment includes: two sliding doors on each side, front and side airbags, 16-inch steel stamped wheels, a stabilization system, cruise control, climate control and a separate air conditioning system for rear-row passengers, an Autonomous Webasto pre-heater, front Parking sensors and a rear-view camera, an entertainment multimedia system with a seven-inch screen, and an engine start button.

The Opel Zafira is a passenger minivan that can take six to nine people on Board. In the basic version, it is 4,600 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, 1,905 m high and 3,275 mm between wheel pairs. For an additional fee, you can order a 350 mm extended version. The wheelbase size is preserved. The longest version is available outside of the domestic market. From bumper to bumper it has a population of 5.3 meters.

Only one powertrain is available for the Opel Zafira. This is a two-liter inline-four turbocharged diesel engine with a Common Rail power system. It develops 150 horsepower at 4000 rpm and 3700 Nm of torque starting from 2000 revolutions of the crankshaft per minute. As a transmission, an exclusively classic hydro-mechanical automatic with six operating ranges is offered. At the start of sales, the drive will only be on the front wheels. Later it will be possible to order a plug-in system with a multi-disc coupling. As a result, the car is able to accelerate from a standstill to the mark of one hundred kilometers per hour in 12.3 seconds. The speed limit is set at 183 kilometers per hour. Fuel consumption is 7 liters of diesel fuel in the city driving pace, 5.6 liters on the highway and 6.2 liters in a mixed cycle.
