Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet

The updated Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio debuted on the stage of the international new York auto show in 2018. The model is the first planned restyling of the fourth generation under the in-house index W205. The manufacturer made serious changes to the technical stuffing, refreshed the interior and practically did not change the design. The car has the same elongated rounded headlamps. They boast fully led infill and elegant cilia daytime running lights. The radiator grille also retained its concave shape. It flaunts a scattering of “diamonds” and a thin horizontally oriented chrome overlay with a large manufacturer’s logo. The front bumper retained its elegant contours and received an enlarged Central air intake. It is covered with a black metal mesh with tiny cells and gives the front a more rapid appearance. In General, the model received a few pleasant cosmetic changes that allowed her to keep up with the times, but did not damage her image.

The Mercedes Benz C-class convertible has five seats and belongs to the full-size class. Its overall dimensions are: length 4686 mm, width 1810 mm, height 1409 mm, and wheelbase-2840 mm. The clearance of the model is expected to be small – only 130 millimeters. This landing gives a fairly low center of gravity, which, in turn, has a positive effect on handling in all driving modes. The car will hold the road perfectly, will be able to pass quite steep turns and will not lose stability, even at high speeds.

Despite the class, the trunk of the convertible is quite modest. The reason for this is the bulky mechanisms that fold the roof. When the top is raised, there is about 360 liters of usable space in the back, and if the driver decides to ride with the wind, this volume will be reduced to 285. This space is quite enough for the everyday tasks of an ordinary motorist, however, even a trip to the airport, with several suitcases on Board, can cause unforeseen inconvenience.

The convertible received a new power line with three engines, exclusively automatic variable transmissions, as well as rear or all-wheel drive. Thanks to a wide range of alternative units, the model has good performance characteristics that can satisfy even the sophisticated motorist.

The basic versions of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio are equipped with a 1.5-liter inline gasoline turbocharged four. Despite the modest displacement, the advanced supercharging system allowed the engineers to squeeze out 184 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. Depending on the type of drive, this modification gains the first hundred in 8.5-8.8 seconds and accelerates to a maximum of 230-235 kilometers per hour. For fans of hotter, the manufacturer has prepared a version of the C43 AMG. It boasts a three-liter turbocharged petrol V6. Thanks to a solid liter capacity, it produces 390 horsepower and 520 Nm of thrust. These versions are equipped exclusively with a proprietary all-wheel drive system, as well as an AMG SpeedShift gearbox. The advanced transmission allows the convertible to shoot up to a hundred in 4.8 seconds, and the maximum speed is programmatically limited at around 250 kilometers per hour. The line is completed by an inline two-liter turbodiesel four. It generates 194 horsepower and 400 Nm. High torque and smooth driving give the car good dynamics-7.5 seconds to 100 km / h, and the speed ceiling is 233 km/h.

The C-class convertible is a luxury car for those who like to feel the wind in their hair. It has a refined and elegant design that perfectly emphasizes the character and status of its owner in society. Such a car will attract the eyes both in the busy flow of the metropolis and on country roads. The interior is a realm of exclusive finishing materials, precise ergonomics and uncompromising comfort. Even heavy traffic or a long road will not be able to bring the owner unnecessary inconvenience. The manufacturer is well aware that cars of this class, first of all, should give unforgettable emotions from driving. That is why the cabriolet is equipped with an excellent power line, which is the quintessence of advanced developments and legendary German quality.
